Another great performance by Peter Shaw in the British Chess Championships 2018

Peter's Summary of his tournament ...

My target before the tournament with to finish in the top 10 which would mean qualification for the main event next year. As I finished half a point short I'm a little disappointed. I was satisfied with how it went in the first 7 games as then I only needed 1 point out of 2 games to qualify but then it started going wrong. A win in round 8 would have secured qualification and then given me a chance to play for the main prizes, but I couldn't find any ideas and the game fizzled to a draw. This left me with a horrible pairing in the last round against probably the strongest player in the tournament.
